• Develop acquisition strategies that serve as framework for integral activities and create program management documents.
• Work with program office personnel to define goals and prepare comprehensive program plans for goals and schedules.
• Determine resource needs and allocate resources (funding, manpower, facilities) for life-cycle management.
• Lead team building and coordinate logistics, engineering and other support within NAWCAD/NAVAIR and at field activities, labs and contractors’ facilities.
• Provide advisory input to higher-level officials on program status and problems requiring resolution or schedule adjustments.
• Coordinate all functions/disciplines related to the acquisition of the assigned system; manage procurement and support activities.

Position Description

You will serve as a PROGRAM MANAGER in the Systems Acquisition Group, Program Management Department of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.

Position Duties/Responsibilities

• You will provide for effective life cycle management, which includes acquisition, development, testing, production, integration and sustainment support, and financial management for assigned programs.
• You will coordinate all of the functions and disciplines related to the acquisition of the assigned systems/equipment, involves overall planning, direction, execution, and control of all efforts related to procurement and support.
• You will serve as a key participant in the development of an acquisition strategy that serves as the framework for integrating functional activities essential to the acquisition effort and as the basis for specific program management documents.
• You will participate with key personnel in the program office who are responsible for defining the goals of the program, and work with them in preparing comprehensive program plans for accomplishing program goals and schedules.
• You will contribute to the determination of resource needs and allocation of resources (funding, manpower, facilities, etc.) for life-cycle management of the assigned program.
• You will be responsible for team building and for coordinating logistics, engineering, and other support within NAWCAD/NAVAIR and at field activities, laboratories and contractors facilities.
• You will provide advice to higher-level officials on program status and on problems that require resolution or adjustments that are needed in plans and schedules.
