About Unchained

Unchained offers a suite of bitcoin financial services built on top of a unique collaborative custody model. These include buying and selling bitcoin directly to and from cold storage, bitcoin retirement accounts, bitcoin-backed loans, concierge services to educate clients on security practices, and cold storage solutions for institutions and businesses.

Position Overview

Unchained is seeking a Lifecycle Marketing Manager to lead the strategy and execution of designing, executing, and optimizing customer journeys that support our mission of empowering bitcoin holders through self-custody and long-term financial services.

This role focuses on email and social media strategies, emphasizing segmentation, automation, and personalized messaging across the user lifecycle. From initial social media engagement to onboarding and long-term retention, this role connects various platforms and touchpoints to guide prospects through the funnel.

We are looking for someone who combines creative messaging with data-driven analysis to convert interest into action and customers into advocates.

What You'll Do
  1. Develop and optimize lifecycle marketing strategies that guide prospects from first impression to long-term engagement, focusing on email, CRM, and content touchpoints.
  2. Manage and improve email marketing programs with targeted, sequenced campaigns to nurture leads, accelerate onboarding, and enhance customer lifetime value.
  3. Utilize content as a key tool for lifecycle success—creating or collaborating on educational, product-focused, and value-driven assets that deepen trust and engagement.
  4. Analyze performance across email, social media, and CRM initiatives, using data to refine segmentation, messaging, and channel strategy.
  5. Manage social media strategies (LinkedIn, X/Twitter, etc.) to generate top-of-funnel interest and connect to deeper lifecycle flows, maintaining a cohesive brand experience.
  6. Collaborate with Product, Sales, and Client Services teams to ensure relevant, timely messaging aligned with customer experience.
  7. Support content distribution across email, social, partner, and owned channels to reach target audiences effectively.
  8. Coordinate with creative teams (freelancers, agencies, internal) to produce high-quality, on-brand content promptly.
  9. Stay updated on lifecycle marketing, CRM tools, and content trends to bring innovative ideas to Unchained’s marketing efforts.
Who You Are
  • 3+ years of experience in content marketing, especially in email and social media management for premium or aspirational brands.
  • Understanding of bitcoin terminology, private keys, and multisig security models.
  • Proven success in creating and managing effective email campaigns, with strong segmentation and customer journey expertise.
  • Ability to grow and maintain highly engaged social media communities, elevating brand perception.
  • Familiarity with marketing automation tools (e.g., HubSpot, Mailchimp) and social media management software.
  • Knowledge of AI tools (e.g., Midjourney, ChatGPT) and how to leverage them for performance improvements.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using data to optimize campaigns and content strategies.
  • Understanding of SEO fundamentals and content optimization techniques.
  • Excellent project management skills to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Creative thinker with strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills aimed at sophisticated audiences.
  • Residence in the United States.
Even Better If
  • Experience building automated email nurture sequences leading to multi-product engagement.
  • Proven ability to craft high-performing lifecycle content for onboarding, education, upselling, or re-engagement.
  • Experience launching social content integrated with broader funnel strategies.
  • Worked with RevOps or data teams to define segments and personalize user journeys.
  • Familiarity with HubSpot, Braze, or similar tools for campaign automation and reporting.
  • Experience in the Bitcoin or financial services industry.
