Job summary

SoFi is seeking a data scientist for the Marketing Data Science team to enable data-driven decisions across marketing. You will build reporting pipelines, dashboards, and self-serve tooling for Lifecycle Marketing, ensuring reliable data foundations and scalable analytics.

You’ll collaborate with Engineering and Marketing Data Science, work on AI-assisted self-serve analytics, and contribute to holdout/experiment design and interpretation for business impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field.
• 2+ years in data science, analytics, or data engineering supporting marketing or CRM analytics.
• Strong SQL and Python for data analysis and pipeline development.
• Experience building dashboards/self-serve reporting (e.g., Tableau).
• Familiarity with modern data stacks (dbt, Airflow, Snowflake).
• Experience with incrementality measurement is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain automated reporting pipelines, dashboards, and datasets for Lifecycle Marketing performance.
• Improve data foundations with standardized logic, definitions, and quality checks across channels.
• Develop self-serve analytics tooling for AI-assisted insights.
• Investigate data discrepancies and pipeline issues affecting reporting and measurement.
• Collaborate with Eng and MDS to productionize data products and automate workflows.
• Support time-sensitive stakeholder requests with scalable reporting frameworks.
• Document data definitions, business logic, and reporting processes for a shared truth.
• Design holdouts/experiments and translate lift results into actionable recommendations.
• Gather requirements and translate findings into clear insights with cross-functional teams.
