Job summary

iRhythm Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Lifecycle Engineering Co-Op to support changes to electrical PCB design, embedded firmware, and manufacturing tooling software across released medical devices.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical or Computer Science Engineering or related field.
• Basic understanding of PCBA design, embedded systems, and embedded software development (C/C++).
• Familiar with lab test equipment and hands-on in a lab environment.
• Detail-oriented with troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Comfortable working with minimal supervision.
• Familiar with version control (Git) and CI processes is a plus.
• Ability to understand/modify scripts like Java, Python, JavaScript, C#, etc.
• Proficient with MS Office 365 tools.

Responsibilities

• Prototype and test electrical PCB components with prototype firmware or fixture software.
• Support software updates to manufacturing equipment and test systems to improve yield and throughput.
• Support embedded software development ensuring compatibility with hardware and IEC 62304 compliance.
• Help with V&V activities including test plans, protocols, and reports per IEC 62304 and SOPs.
• Create and maintain engineering drawings, specifications, tests, and reports for design control and regulatory docs.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and regulatory teams on requirements, tests, and reports.
• Assist with failure analysis of production components and field returns.
• Contribute ideas for future product improvements or IP.
• Perform lab equipment setup/maintenance as needed.
