Job summary

iRhythm Technologies is seeking a Firmware Quality Assurance Engineer Co-op to join our San Francisco team, testing embedded software inside Class II cardiac monitoring devices and desktop applications.

You'll design and execute tests in C and C#/.NET, collaborate with R&D and Manufacturing, and document results to regulatory standards, while developing as a systems-level tester in a fast-paced medical device environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in progress (Electrical/Computer engineering a plus).
• Experience with electronic test equipment (power supplies, DMMs, oscilloscopes).
• Familiarity with software QA in medical devices or regulated environments.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Self-motivated; able to work independently or with cross-functional teams.
• Adaptable to a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual functional testing on embedded software (C) and desktop apps (C#/.NET).
• Define testing strategies with R&D and Manufacturing teams.
• Create verification tests and report results per regulatory standards.
• Review requirements for technical accuracy and testability.
• Analyze field failures to identify root causes.
