The Research Foundation of The City University of New York (RFCUNY) seeks an ACCES Pre-ETS Life Skills Coach to support students with disabilities and accommodation needs. The role emphasizes executive functioning, social interaction, and self-advocacy within campus settings, applying universal design and SMART goals.

Under the Program Manager, you will provide individualized coaching, run workshops, and maintain progress records to help students achieve personal and academic growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Education, or related field (Master's preferred).
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Collaborate closely with Program Manager to align coaching efforts with program goals.
• Provide individualized coaching sessions to students based on their unique needs.
• Facilitate workshops and group sessions on life skills, work readiness, and social interaction topics.
• Develop coaching plans incorporating universal design principles for each student.
• Assist students in setting SMART goals for personal and academic growth.
• Utilize positive psychology and motivational interviewing techniques to empower students.
• Maintain accurate records of coaching sessions and student progress.
• Regularly communicate with the program team to assess coaching effectiveness.
