Job summary

CP Unlimited, formerly Cerebral Palsy Associations of NYS, Metro Division, seeks an individual to provide targeted training and support for people with developmental disabilities in NYC. Training covers daily living skills, socialization, budgeting, shopping, and work-related activities.

The role emphasizes safety, consistency, and collaboration, with documentation duties and travel to other boroughs as required to meet individual service plans.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Three years experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and basic computer skills.
• Willingness to travel to other boroughs as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provides training in accordance with Program Plans and Individualized Service Plans.
• Trains individuals in daily life activities such as socialization, budgeting, shopping and work-related skills.
• Ensures safety and security of the persons receiving services.
• Works toward goals to promote independence for each individual.
• Completes all documentation for service delivery.
• Provides timely services aligned with each person’s schedule.
• Collaborates with the team supporting the individuals.
