Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Michigan is seeking a dedicated staff member to provide one-on-one support to help individuals participate in activities and develop life skills.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and a cell phone; First Aid/CPR certification is required within 30 days.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities is helpful.
• First Aid/CPR certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire; in-house training is provided.
• Must have an acceptable driving record and a valid chauffeur's license.
• Must have a cell phone.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support to help individuals build interpersonal and life skills.
• Maintain documentation of activities and submit reports.
• Report progress to the Workforce Manager on a weekly basis.
• Assist with planning and implementing daily activities.
• Provide personal care for some participants.
• Transport participants on outings using Goodwill vehicles.
• Adhere to safety laws, regulations, and CARF standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Workforce Manager.
