Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Greater Grand Rapids, Inc. seeks a Career Coach to mentor students through CNA training and career planning. You will build relationships, help set SMART goals, provide case management, connect with community resources, and lead workshops on resumes and interview skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Education or related field required.
  • Experience supporting individuals facing barriers to employment.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to engage with individuals from diverse backgrounds and abilities.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

As a Career Coach, you'll be more than a guide. You'll be a mentor, motivator, problem-solver, and champion for student success.

You will:

  • Build meaningful relationships with students and support them throughout their training journey.

Additional Details:

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Education or related field required.

Prefer one-year experience in a human service setting providing direct and/or supportive services to individuals with disabilities and/or barriers to employment preferred.

Some positions may require specialized experience, education, licensure, etc.

Must be able to provide own transportation to various sites in the community to fulfill the obligations of this position.
