Job summary

ND Health and Human Services' Life Skills and Transition Center in Grafton, ND is hiring Flex Direct Support Professionals to assist residents with daily living activities and help them transition to community providers.

Onsite training is provided; no experience required. Shifts include rotating day/evening and overnight options, with emphasis on accurate communication and basic computer skills to document progress for the care team.

Qualifications

• No experience required; onsite training provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities to promote independence.
• Identify goals and practice new skills with residents.
• Assist with personal hygiene, work/job tasks, recreation/leisure, and maintaining a clean, safe environment.
• Model effective communication and social interactions; teach self-advocacy and self-help strategies.
• Observe, monitor, and report residents' condition and progress to the team.
• Log information into computer programs used by the facility.
