Job summary

Lifespan is hiring for a PRN Direct Care role in Greensboro, NC. You will work to empower individuals, promoting independence and community participation, with duties ranging from daily living support to health monitoring and documentation.

Responsibilities include assisting with meals, personal care, mobility, and transportation. Training is provided, with nursing support for medications; competitive pay and flexible schedules await.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Pass criminal record and healthcare registry check.
• Possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of two consecutive years.
• Current First Aid/CPR certification required (training provided if needed).
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds independently.

Responsibilities

• Teach skills to promote independence.
• Support community inclusion and integration.
• Mentor individuals to help build social skills and relationships.
• Provide guidance and support in daily activities.
• Assist with eating, bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, and other activities of daily living.
• Assist with preparation of meals.
• Monitor and report on status of health and safety objectives.
• Assist with participation in leisure/recreational activities.
• Use electronic health record to document activities and significant events.
• Submit documentation and payroll data according to scheduled deadlines.
• Complete initial and ongoing training, and participate in staff development activities.
• Administer medications (training provided; nursing team supports).
• Provide transportation to and from designated sites.
• Assist people with mobility needs, e.g., utilize transfer techniques, a Hoyer lift, and/or gait belt (training provided).
