Job summary

BUHSD Learning Center & LC is seeking a Life Skills Paraprofessional to support students with multiple disabilities under certified staff supervision. The role emphasizes safety, documentation, and confidential coordination with families and health providers.

The position requires AA degree or equivalent, fingerprint clearance, First Aid/CPR, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. It involves direct student assistance, field trips, IEP involvement, and close teamwork with the Exceptional

Qualifications

• AA degree or 60 college hours or paraprofessional test.
• AZ Dept of Public Safety IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• First Aid Training and CPR Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Work with Life Skills learners, including students with multiple disabilities.
• Feeds and changes diapers for Multi-Handicapped student.
• Positions student from wheelchair to chair, toilet, etc.
• Assists student on and off the bus when necessary.
• Maintains student progress log and parent communication log.
• Maintains a physical environment that meets health needs of the student.
