Job summary

Navajo Preparatory School seeks a 21st Century Coordinator to develop and implement a Student Success/Life Skills Program. You will focus on intellectual, emotional, and personal development using Dine' cultural values to empower youths to live independently and responsibly.

The role emphasizes after-school programming, collaboration with families and staff, and fostering positive relationships across the school community. Flexible hours after school may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred in Education or related field.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in an educational environment or as a recreational director.
• Knowledge of Native American learning styles and assessment methods.
• Computer literacy and ability to use common software tools.
• Strong oral and written communication and human relations skills.
• Ability to work effectively with students, parents, teachers and community.
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
• CPR/AED, First Aid, and Bloodborne Pathogen certifications maintained.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee the after-school Student Success/Life Skills program.
• Promote and model Navajo cultural values and language use.
• Organize enrichment opportunities to foster positive self-identity.
• Coordinate personal, social and academic development activities for students.
• Maintain program calendars and manage Title IV funds as applicable.
• Support staff and collaborate with the Division Director of Student Life and Wellness.
