Pediatric Developmental Services (PDS) is hiring a Special Education Teacher (Life Skills) for Kinder-2nd grade to join our staff and support students in a bright, active school environment. If you are passionate about helping all children reach their potential, we want to hear from you!

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• TX Special Education certificate required.
• Experience with IEP writing and meetings.

Responsibilities

• Create and execute Individualized Education Plans (IEP) for each student.
• Communicate with staff and family about progress and struggles.
• Prepare detailed lesson plans and submit for administrator approval.
• Participate in IEP meetings as scheduled by the school.
• Use individualized reinforcement techniques to support growth.
• Invite family members to participate in progress.
• Create and distribute quarterly progress reports.
• Confer with on-site therapist on disciplinary and behavioral issues.
• Create a safe, productive classroom environment.
