Job summary

Pediatric Developmental Services (PDS) in South Carolina is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support K-12 students with SPED needs in our partner schools. You will develop and implement individualized education programs, collaborate with teachers and families, monitor progress through data, and help students reach their potential in a bright, supportive environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Education with SPED teaching license.
  • Experience working with K-12 SPED students is required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide targeted academic and behavioral support to students based on individualized needs and learning plans.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to modify instruction, adapt materials, and implement intervention strategies.
  • Monitor student progress through data collection, assessments, and regular check-ins, adjusting support as needed.
  • Communicate consistently with families, teachers, and school teams to ensure alignment on student goals and services.
  • Participate in IEP/504 meetings, contribute to goal development, and help ensure compliance with all required documentation.

Special Education Teacher Qualifications:
