Job summary

Pediatric Developmental Services (PDS) is hiring a Special Education Teacher to join our team in a dynamic school setting. You will create and implement IEPs, collaborate with teachers and families, and contribute to a supportive learning environment for students with developmental needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
• Special Education Certificate per TX Department of Education requirements.
• Experience with IEP writing, meetings, and related processes.

Responsibilities

• Create and execute Individualized Education Plans (IEP) for each student.
• Communicate with staff and family about each student's progress and struggles.
• Prepare detailed lesson plans and submit them for administrator approval.
• Participate in IEP meetings as scheduled by the school.
• Use individualized reinforcement techniques to keep students on track.
• Invite family members to participate in each student's progress.
• Create and distribute quarterly progress reports.
• Collaborate with on-site therapists on disciplinary and behavioral issues.

Education
