Job summary

Nestucca Valley School District is seeking a Special Education Life Skills Instructional Assistant for a 0.875 FTE position in a Life Skills classroom. The role supports the Life Skills Teacher, prepares materials, and helps deliver instruction and behavior management in various settings.

Qualifications include an associate degree (or equivalent) or a high school diploma with a qualifying assessment, plus strong communication, data collection, and English-language skills.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher preferred for working with children in educational settings.
• High school diploma or GED with passing score on reading/writing/math assessment acceptable alternative.

Responsibilities

• Assist Life Skills Teacher with instructional delivery and materials prep.
• Implement individual and group behavior plans under supervision.
• Support students with mobility devices and assist with life skills activities.
• Supervise students and maintain safe, orderly classroom environments.
