YES Prep Public Schools in Houston, Texas is seeking a Special Education Life Skills (Self-Contained) Teacher for the 10-month school year.

Starting at $64,000 annually with up to $5,000 in stipends and a signing bonus up to $4,000; a TEA TI A plan can raise earnings above $100k.

You will build rigorous lessons, monitor progress, manage IEPs, and collaborate with teams to support student growth and readiness for postsecondary opportunities.

Qualificações

• Experience in Life Skills programming or similar settings.
• Valid Texas SPED certification required.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and Core Content certification.

Responsabilidades

• Develop rigorous lessons using alternate curriculum and inclusive practices.
• Set ambitious goals and monitor progress with regular feedback.
• Track growth and create growth plans with data and coaches' input.
• Communicate regularly with families via phone, video, email, or website.
• Create a conducive learning environment for developmental needs.
• Collaborate with Teaching Assistants on daily plans and resources.
• Lead TAs in lesson delivery and station-based learning.
• Plan daily lessons, submit grades, and file work samples on time.
• Coordinate with content teams for professional development alignment.
