Job summary

Grandview School District in Grandview Middle School seeks a Special Education Paraprofessional - Life Skills to support students under a certified teacher, providing supervision, instruction, and small-group assistance.

This role will assist students, including those who are medically fragile, across classrooms, playgrounds, cafeteria and library, contributing to an inclusive learning environment that values respect and achievement.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Job related experience is desired.
• Minimum qualifications: Be at least eighteen years of age and hold a high school diploma or its equivalent. Must meet the minimum requirement for a paraprofessional (Hold an associate degree or higher from an accredited college or university, have earned 72 quarter credits or 48 semester credits at the 100 level or higher at an accredited college or university or have passed the state paraeducator assessment).

Responsibilities

• Assist in supervision and instruction of students.
• Work with students who are medically fragile.
• Under supervision of a certified teacher, work with individuals or small groups of students in a classroom.
• Monitor students in various settings (classroom, playground, cafeteria, library, etc.).
