Job summary

Grandview School District #200 is seeking a qualified teacher to supervise students in the classroom and other areas, develop lesson plans, and deliver instruction to groups and individuals. You will collaborate with fellow teachers and administrators to improve education for Grandview students.

The role requires a Washington State Teaching Certificate with Special Education endorsement, and experience with diverse families.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelors from an accredited college or university in job-related area.
Experience: Experience working with children and families of varied cultural backgrounds preferred.
Licenses/Certificates: Must have a Washington State Teaching Certificate, endorsed in Special Education required with additional endorsements preferred.
Minimum qualifications: Relates well with students, parents and peers; must have excellent classroom control; team player; curriculum development; professional appearance; goal oriented.
Bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

Providing support to the instructional process by serving as a teacher with specific responsibility for supervising students within the classroom and other assigned areas
Developing lesson plans and delivering group and individual student instruction
Collaborating with other teachers, professional staff, and administrators to address and improve the education of Grandview students
Responding to a wide range of inquiries from students' parents or guardians regarding instructional program and student progress
