Job summary

Mountain View Jr High is seeking a Part-Time Lifeskills Special Educator Paraeducator to support students with special needs under the supervision of licensed staff. The role emphasizes developing academic, daily living, and behavioral skills, with duties including data collection, record-keeping, and assisting with personal care.

Work schedule is 5.75 hours per day (28.75 per week), 180-day calendar, and starts immediately.

Qualifications

• Must be able to assume and maintain a variety of postures for extended periods.
• Able to work with students with special needs.
• Willing to participate in MANDT training.
• In-person collaboration with staff and students.
• Attend to personal care and safety needs.

Responsibilities

• Adapt classroom work under the direction of the teacher to support lesson plans.
• Support other personnel to complete work activities.
• Implement behavioral programs to improve students' academic progress.
• Maintain student files/records and data collection.
• Monitor students to provide a safe learning environment.
• Perform scheduling and clerical tasks as needed.
• Assist with daily living skills and personal care.
