Vista Life Innovations is seeking a Life Skills Instructor in Westbrook, CT to support members in achieving independence through home and community-based instruction.

Responsibilities include one-to-one or small group teaching on communication, problem-solving, decision-making, and time management, plus assisting with daily program operations and documentation. A high school diploma and driving license are required; CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 90 days is expected.

Qualifications

• High School diploma and 1 year related experience.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record as defined by Vista.
• CPR and First Aid, PMT certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• ABI ILST Certification (ABI - Acquired Brain Injury ILST -Independent Life Skills Trainer) is a plus.
• Utilize technology for instruction, communication, and administrative purposes.

The Role

Vista is seeking Life Skills Instructors to implement systems that support students/members independent living needs. This role focuses on helping individuals build independence through instruction, community integration, and individualized support in both home and community settings. This position requires flexibility, strong communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to respond effectively to a variety of situations while maintaining a person-centered, strengths-based approach.

What You’ll Do

What We’re Looking For

Hourly Rate: $20.40, plus eligible mileage reimbursement
