Job summary

New Horizons is seeking a Day Program Support employee to work with individuals in the Life Skills Day Program, providing instruction in activities of daily living and transporting to community resources and events. The role emphasizes strong communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage time and stay organized while assisting with personal care needs during program hours.

The position offers full-time hours with standard Monday–Friday days and opportunities for advancement

Qualifications

• Eighteen (18) Years of Age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• First Aid/CPR certification or training required.

Responsibilities

• Instruct activities of daily living for individuals in the Life Skills Day Program.
• Transport individuals to and from community resources and events.
• Teach new skills and assist with personal care needs during program attendance.
• Demonstrate strong communication, problem solving, time management and organizational skills to support individuals.
