Job summary

New Horizons in Autism, Inc. (NHIA) seeks a Direct Support Professional for our Day Program in Freehold, NJ to support adults with autism in structured, engaging settings.

You will provide direct care, assist with daily living skills, transportation, and documentation while promoting independence and meaningful daily activities. The role offers a 8:00 AM–4:00 PM weekday schedule and starting pay of $19/hour, with comprehensive training and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 20 years of age
• High School Diploma, GED, or higher degree (diploma or transcripts required)
• Valid New Jersey driver’s license
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
• Ability to interact professionally and respectfully with individuals with autism
• Strong problem‑solving skills and sound judgment
• Must successfully complete all pre‑employment requirements, including: Central Registry, CARI, DMV Check, Drug Screening, Physical Examination, PPD Testing
