Job summary

Hemphill Middle School in Strasburg, CO is seeking a Life Skills CTE Pathways Teacher for the 2026/2027 school year. This part-time position reports to the building principal and focuses on developing and delivering middle school Life Skills and CTE pathway courses.

The program includes 6th Grade Keyboarding and Computer Applications, 7th Grade Health, and 8th Grade Finance with a strong emphasis on college and career readiness and community involvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Valid Colorado teaching certificate endorsed in assignment area.
• CTE endorsement preferred or willingness to pursue.
• Experience in health, business, career readiness, technology, or related fields preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan a program of study appropriate to the maturity and interests of students and meet their needs.
• Create a positive classroom environment conducive to learning and classroom rules.
• The teacher will guide the learning process to increase student achievement per curriculum and standards.
• Employ instructional methods and materials that meet stated objectives.
• Assess student progress regularly and provide timely progress reports.
• Collaborate with professionals to determine special learning needs and involve specialists as required.
