Position Summary

The Career and Technical Education (CTE) Technology/IT Teacher prepares students for careers in computer science, networking, and information technology. The teacher creates a learning environment that supports technical skill development, problem-solving, and career readiness.

Courses may include computer programming fundamentals, Microsoft certification preparation, and Cisco networking. The district encourages programs that include robotics competitions, industry-recognized certifications, and technology internships.

Minimum Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Education, or related field preferred
Licensure
  • Valid Colorado Teaching License with appropriate endorsement preferred
  • Industry professionals eligible for Colorado CTE or Adjunct Licensure may be considered
Technical Skills
  • Knowledge of programming fundamentals and networking systems
  • Experience with Microsoft, Cisco, or related certification programs
  • Ability to support robotics and technology competitions
  • Strong classroom management and instructional design skills

This position works primarily in a technology classroom or computer lab environment and may include partnerships with technology organizations and businesses.
