Job summary

The Supported Living Group in Connecticut is seeking a Behavioral Technician (BT) to serve as Life Skills Coach and Job Coach for individuals under ASD Waiver services. This is a full-time, direct-support role providing in-home and community-based services.

You will implement ISP-based supports, help with daily living and communication, document thoroughly, and collaborate with the Program Manager and BCBA while maintaining professional boundaries.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Experience with individuals with ASD or developmental disabilities preferred.
• Ability to work independently while following written plans and supervision.
• Strong reliability, organization, and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct in-home and community-based supports aligned with each individual's ISP.
• Support daily living skills, routines, communication, self-advocacy, and community integration.
• Implement existing behavior support strategies as written, without modification.
• Work with multiple clients throughout the week to ensure consistent service delivery.
• Complete, clear, timely documentation in accordance with ASD Waiver and agency requirements.
• Communicate observations and updates to the Program Manager professionally and promptly.
• Communicate observations and updates to the clinician (BCBA) professionally and promptly.
• Maintain respectful, professional relationships with individuals, families, and team members.
• Follow all agency policies related to safety, confidentiality, and service delivery.
