Job summary

29 Acres seeks a Life Skills Coach for the Transition Academy to support adults with ASD in planning activities, developing life skills, and pursuing vocational opportunities. You will lead recreational activities, provide supervision, and assist with transportation using company vehicles.

The role emphasizes safety, client advocacy, and collaboration with coordinators and the BCBA to tailor programming to each individual's goals and progress.

Qualifications

• Required: Highschool diploma or GED.
• Preferred: Associate degree or 60 hours of college coursework.
• CPR, First Aid, and CPI/Safety Care training required.
• Requires background check and drug test.
• Must hold a Texas driver’s license and have a safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide life skills training to help clients plan activities and vocational training.
• Assist clients with recreational activities such as lake sports, swimming, and rock climbing.
• Support clients with daily living skills, budgeting, cooking, and social activities.
• Support career readiness and help clients find jobs, internships, and volunteer opportunities.
• Transport clients to events and activities using company vehicles.
• Ensure safety and welfare during community events and client supervision.
• Collaborate with coordinators and BCBA to develop programming.
