Job summary

Kentucky River Community Care in Mayking, KY, seeks a Life Skills Coach/Community Support Associate to help clients live more independently in the community.

You will teach skills to access resources, manage medications, budgeting, transportation, and crisis coping, and document notes in EMR within 24 hours.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED with one year of behavioral health experience and a valid driver's license with two years of driving.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with one year of full-time experience working with individuals who receive services for treatment of a behavioral health disorder.
• Must have valid driver's license with 2 years of driving experience.
• Experience working with individuals receiving behavioral health services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach clients to access community resources, medications adherence, interpersonal skills, behavioral support skills, crisis coping skills, emotional regulation skills, how to access transportation, how to budget/manage finances, and how to shop independently in the community.
• Complete documentation in EMR within 24 hours of service delivery.
• Conduct activities necessary to allow individuals to live with maximum independence in the community.
• Enhance community living through utilizing skills training, cueing or supervision as identified in recipients treatment plan.
• Maintain all trainings and required supervision.
• Participate in therapeutic rehabilitation and 1915i Rise services as needed.
