Job summary

Spread Your Wings, LLC. - ILS Services seeks a Life Skills Mentor/Coach to help individuals with developmental disabilities achieve greater independence and confidence in daily living.

This independent role is part-time to full-time, covering the Soledad/ Greenfield/ King City areas. Bilingual English/Spanish is required; schedule is Monday through Friday 10am–6:00pm with some weekends; 90% field work and 10% administration.

Qualifications

• Bilingual English/Spanish required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Able to pass a background check.
• Computer literacy: MS Word and basic data entry.

Responsibilities

• Coach clients on independent living skills (cooking, budgeting, hygiene).
• Encourage, motivate and support individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Help plan and organize weekly goals and schedules with clients.
• Document progress through case notes and quarterly reports.
• Spend 90% of time in the field with clients and 10% on admin.
• Collaborate with program managers and training staff.

Requirements

• Able to work and commute in and around the Soledad/ Greenfield/ King City areas
• Able to pass a background check (per state industry standards)
• Computer literacy: MS Word, email, basic data entry

What You'll Do

• Coach clients on building independent living skills (e.g., cooking, budgeting, hygiene)
• Encourage, motivate, and support clients with developmental disabilities and behavioral challenges
• Help plan, create, and organize weekly goals and schedules that work for your clients
• Provide consistent documentation of progress through case notes and quarterly reports
• Spend 90% of your time in the field with clients and 10% on admin/documentation
• Collaborate with program managers, regional center coordinators, and training staff

• Are comfortable working independently in one-on-one settings with clients
• Have behavioral health experience (preferred, not required)
