Job summary

NOOTER, an employee-owned contractor, seeks a Project Engineer to support complex electrical construction in pharmaceutical and life sciences environments in Indiana. You will manage document control, procurement, material coordination, and project administration, ensuring on-schedule progress with minimal supervision.

The role demands reading construction drawings, coordinating procurement workflows, and maintaining meticulous records across multiple projects, with strong emphasis on compliance

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of Project Engineering experience supporting electrical construction projects.
• Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences, or other highly regulated construction environments.
• Strong experience with document control, procurement, material coordination, and project administration.
• Ability to independently manage responsibilities with minimal supervision.
• Experience processing RFIs, submittals, purchase orders, material releases, and change orders.

Responsibilities

• Manage project documentation from kickoff through closeout.
• Coordinate RFIs, submittals, purchase orders, material releases, change orders, and closeout documentation.
• Prioritize procurement following approved submittals.
• Coordinate with vendors, fabrication facilities, subcontractors, field supervision, and project management.
• Review drawings and specifications to identify procurement requirements and project risks.
• Ensure procurement aligns with construction sequencing and installation schedules.
• Maintain accurate project records and support budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
• Support multiple concurrent projects while maintaining organization and accuracy.
