Job summary

QCS Staffing Ltd in Ohio is seeking a Process Engineer for a US-based, 12-month life sciences contract. You will develop understanding of process equipment, support safety reviews, and assist commissioning and startup activities on a major new-build facility.

Candidates should hold a Bachelor's in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering and have hands-on experience with process or utility systems in an industrial setting, including installation and startup projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• Relevant process, manufacturing or utility systems engineering experience in an industrial environment.
• Practical experience with manufacturing process equipment or industrial utility systems, including piping and valves.
• Direct involvement in at least one equipment or system installation, commissioning, qualification or startup project, with responsibilities explained.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of assigned process equipment or utility systems, including operating principles and hazards.
• Review drawings, equipment information and documentation to support safety assessments.
• Conduct field inspections during installation and preparation for commissioning/startup.
• Collaborate with engineers, suppliers and SMEs to identify hazards and corrective actions.
• Assess system readiness before activation, including introduction of air or other utilities, per safety programme.
