Job summary

QCS Staffing is seeking a Project Engineer for a US, Ohio-based 12-month contract in Life Sciences. You will support a major new-build facility and help deliver a world-class program.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and has extensive experience on capital pharma projects, with proven ability in P&ID development, tagging, system boundaries, and turnover processes. Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and delivering mechanical completion sign-off is

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Extensive experience as a Project Engineer on capital pharma projects.
• Experience with system-by-system construction completion and turnover processes.
• Knowledge of P&ID development, tagging, boundaries, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Ensure P&ID accuracy and system boundary definition.
• Oversee RFIs requiring client input.
• Release IFC drawings and confirm design freeze.
• Sign off mechanical completion by system/package.
• Coordinate daily system-by-system activities.

Be part of a next-generation pharmaceutical project that’s transforming how medicines are made.

We’re supporting a major new-build facility in Ohio, a multi-billion-dollar investment designed to push the boundaries of science and engineering. We’re looking for a Project Engineer to support this project and help deliver this world‑class program.

What You’ll Deliver

• P&ID accuracy - tagging and system boundary definition
• Oversight of technical RFIs requiring client input
• Final IFC drawing release and design freeze confirmation
• Mechanical completion sign-off by system/package
• Daily coordination of system-by-system activities

What you’ll need:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related discipline), or equivalent relevant experience.
• Extensive experience as a Project Engineer on capital projects within pharmaceutical, biotech, or related regulated manufacturing environments.
• Demonstrated experience with system-by-system construction completion, mechanical completion, and turnover processes.
• Working knowledge of P&ID development, tagging conventions, system boundary definition, Engineering Design Standards, Engineering Functional Standards, Engineering Specifications and Regulatory requirements.
