• Ph.D. in Chemistry, Chemical Biology, or a related field and USPTO patent agent registration or eligibility.
• Full-time role with in-office presence of at least three days per week.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and broad biotech knowledge.
• Must be a registered USPTO patent agent or eligible to sit for the USPTO registration exam.
• Law school tuition assistance is available to qualified patent agent candidates.

Responsibilities

• Conduct prior art database searches for patentability and freedom-to-operate analyses.
• Analyze patents and scientific papers to support patent prosecution, counseling, and litigation.
• Draft patent applications and responses to office actions.
• Participate in post-grant procedures at the USPTO.
• Collaborate with patent attorneys and other team members.
