Job summary

BCG Attorney Search is seeking a technology advisor or patent agent for its life sciences patent practice in Mountain View, CA. The ideal candidate will hold a Ph.D. or M.D.

with research experience in Chemistry, Chemical Biology, or related fields, and will join a busy patent prosecution and counseling team. Responsibilities include conducting prior art searches, analyzing patents and papers to assist attorneys, drafting patent applications and responses, and participating in post-grant

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or M.D. with chemistry/chemical biology research.
• Registered USPTO patent agent or eligible to sit for the USPTO exam.
• Excellent scientific and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct prior art searches for patentability and freedom to operate analyses.
• Analyze patents and scientific papers to assist patent attorneys on prosecution, counseling, and litigation.
• Draft patent applications and responses to office actions.
• Participate in post-grant procedures at the USPTO.
