Job summary

GBA is offering a Mechanical Engineering Intern - Life Sciences in Lenexa, KS. You will join the Buildings Group's Life Sciences team to design mechanical systems for bio-pharma projects under supervision of licensed engineers.

Responsibilities include preparing construction documents, reviewing shop drawings, and assisting with commissioning. Ideal candidates are pursuing engineering degrees with CAD experience and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Pursuing BS or MS in Architectural or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit and Excel is preferred.
• GPA 2.7 strongly preferred; at least two years of school completed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare construction documents for various systems
• Review shop drawings and RFIs
• Verify permitting and code requirements
• Conduct facility evaluations and engineering studies
• Assist with troubleshooting and commissioning
• Perform other duties as assigned
