Job summary

Saint-Gobain's Poestenkill, NY manufacturing facility seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to support Life Sciences operations, drive process improvements, and apply WCM and Lean Six Sigma. You will partner with Maintenance, Quality, and Production, lead Kaizen and 5S initiatives, and contribute to scale-up, trials, and product development as products move to full production.

Based at Poestenkill, the role focuses on improving process efficiency, reducing scrap, and ensuring safe, reliable machine

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering preferred.
• 2+ years of Manufacturing, Process, Industrial, and/or Automation Engineering experience.
• Experience supporting manufacturing operations.
• Strong process and manufacturing engineering skills, incl. troubleshooting and process improvement.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong computer proficiency.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide process, manufacturing, and engineering support to production operations.
• Apply WCM and Lean Six Sigma for efficiency and waste reduction.
• Troubleshoot equipment and support Maintenance, Quality, and Production.
• Lead site WCM efforts including 5S and Kaizen initiatives.
• Support R&D and Applications Engineering with scale-up and trials.
• Partner with Quality on root cause analysis.
