Life Sciences Audit Senior – East Brunswick, Princeton, Whippany, NJ
The role will lead engagements across audit, review, and compilation services for a range of client sizes and industries, with a focus on life sciences.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute audit, review, or compilation engagements, ensuring high‑quality client service.
- Oversee day‑to‑day engagement operations, including staffing, planning, risk assessment, fieldwork, financial reporting, and conclusion.
- Supervise and mentor engagement staff, fostering open communication with managers, partners, and clients.
- Collaborate with managers and partners on client issue resolution, and provide recommendations on legal, regulatory, and accounting matters.
- Review scheduled and unplanned general ledger accounts for accurate entries.
- Manage multiple engagements concurrently, maintaining deadlines and coordinating with cross‑functional teams.
- Create and monitor engagement budgets, identifying inefficiencies and implementing improvements.
- Facilitate constructive performance discussions and provide counseling to staff.
- Lead professional development sessions as an instructor or discussion leader.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- Licensed CPA or actively pursuing CPA certification.
- Minimum 2 years of public accounting experience, including leadership on multiple engagements.
- Excellent analytical, technical, and auditing skills with familiarity with US GAAP.
- Strong client‑service and communication skills, with a proven ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Demonstrated capability to manage multiple engagements and competing projects in a fast‑paced environment.
- Leadership, training, and mentoring skills, with strong verbal, written, and presentation abilities.
- Excellent organizational, project‑management, and problem‑solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary range: $80,000‑$105,000, based on location, role, skills, and experience. The base compensation is complemented by a competitive benefits package and a bonus program for eligible roles, based on firm and individual performance.
