Withum’s Life Sciences Audit practice is seeking a Life Sciences Audit Supervisor based in NJ (East Brunswick, Whippany or Princeton). You will lead audit engagements from planning to completion, supervise staff, and build client relationships with senior leadership across life sciences and SEC clients.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead the engagement team on planning and execution of an audit, review or compilation engagement
• Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the audit engagement from staffing, planning, risk assessment, fieldwork, financial reporting and the conclusion
• Providing supervision and support to the engagement staff, seniors and supervisors and promote open communication to the engagement partner
• Collaborating with engagement team seniors or supervisors and partners on client issue resolution and make recommendations for legal, regulatory and accounting issues that arise during an audit engagement
• Managing multiple engagements concurrently with various teams to efficiently meet client deadlines
• Creating and tracking engagement budgets and reviewing for inefficiencies, and conducting constructive discussions with team members on their evaluations and providing counsel accordingly
• Serving in professional development programs as an instructor or discussion leader

Overview

Withum's Auditing and Attest Engagement services are the cornerstone of our firm. Our audit and advisory team provides audit services, review and compilation services and other agreed-upon procedures to a variety of client sizes and industries. This Life Sciences Audit Supervisor role will be based out of East Brunswick, Whippany or Princeton, NJ offices. You'll work alongside an integrated team of CPAs and industry leaders. In this position, you will take a lead role on all aspects of audit engagements, from planning to completion, including supervision/mentoring of staff and building/maintaining relationships with clients.

How You'll Spend Your Time

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting and CPA license preferred
• At least 3 years of public accounting experience, with experience leading multiple engagements and supervising staff
• Experience auditing life sciences and SEC companies preferred but not required
• Excellent analytical, technical, and auditing skills including familiarity with US GAAP
• Exceptional client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing projects
• Strong leadership, training, and mentoring skills, with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
• Excellent analytical, organizational, project management skills, strong attention to detail, and proven problem-solving skills
• Ability to travel as needed based on client assignments

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position ranges from $85,000–$175,000. In addition to the base compensation, Withum offers a competitive benefits package and bonus program (for eligible roles) based on individual and firm performance.
