Job summary

The University of Georgia is seeking a Life Science Technician (Lance) to support amphibian and reptile ecotoxicology studies at the VPR-Savannah River Ecology Lab in the Augusta area. The role involves field and laboratory work, data logger maintenance, and collaboration with graduate students and PIs.

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent; a BS with at least one year of post-baccalaureate experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists graduate students, PI, and postdoctoral fellow with research projects involving amphibian conservation ecology and general ecotoxicology studies.
• Assists in maintaining remote environmental data loggers and curating associated data.
• Assists with acoustic recording of amphibians to include development of AI detectors, maintenance of loggers, and regular analysis of recordings.
• Assists with general lab maintenance, chemical safety, animal care lab maintenance etc.
