Epicus Group is seeking a Construction Manager to lead a major life science capital project in Northern California. You will act as the owner’s representative, coordinating real estate planning, design, and construction from programming through operations.

In this role you will manage stakeholders, oversee procurement and design phases, and ensure conformance to scope, schedule, and budget while building strong client partnerships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or associate degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, business, or related field.
• PMI PMP, CCM or LEED AP certification is desired.
• Experience in the Northern California market with strong client and stakeholder relationships.
• Knowledge of the real estate development lifecycle, approvals and regulations.

Responsabilités

• Lead and manage all phases of life science capital projects within scope, budget, and schedule.
• Oversee stakeholder engagement, needs assessments, and business case development.
• Serve as primary liaison between clients, architects, engineers, contractors, and authorities.
• Lead design and procurement efforts, including scoping, proposals, and contracts.
• Prepare and implement the project execution plan and kickoff activities.
• Manage design/construction phases, drawings, bids, coordination, and approvals.
• Provide construction administration, progress reporting, RFIs, submittals, and cost control.
• Monitor budgets and schedules; perform risk analysis and mitigation.
• Lead value engineering studies with owners and design teams.
• Oversee administration, forecasting, invoicing, and milestone reporting.
• Ensure contractor compliance with documents, design intent, and standards.
• Direct project meetings and communicate status, risks, and mitigations.
