Job summary

CEM Corporation, located in Matthews, NC, is seeking a highly motivated Applications Scientist to support our MultiPep and Prodigy instrumentation platforms. This customer-facing role includes providing expert applications support, training, and ongoing customer assistance.

Successful candidates will have a BA/BS in Chemistry or a related field, a strong understanding of peptide workflows, and hands-on experience with analytical instrumentation. Ability to travel and excellent communication skills are essential.

This position is based on-site at our headquarters and not remote.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of peptide synthesis and purification workflows.
• Hands‑on experience with analytical instrumentation, especially peptide synthesizers.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% across the U.S. and Canada.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct applications support to customers using the MultiPep and Prodigy product lines.
• Conduct applications training for customers and CEM personnel.
• Assist in product development through software and performance testing.
