Job summary

Gift of Life Donor Program is seeking a Referral Coordinator with a nursing or medically related degree and EMT-P certification to support organ and tissue donation across eastern PA, southern NJ, and Delaware.

The role requires on-call rotations, donor evaluation, coordination with hospital staff, and family discussions to obtain consent, with an autonomous work environment and strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• At least three years’ experience in a critical care/trauma, surgical or comparable clinical environment as a Registered Nurse.
• Six years as a Paramedic.
• Certification in ACLS or PALS or as an EMT-P is required.

Responsibilities

• Rotates 48-hour and 72-hour on-call shifts to respond to referrals from hospitals.
• Evaluates potential organ donors with AOC based on medical and social history.
• Assesses donor designation, hemodilution and ABO confirmation.
• May make medical management recommendations to staff to maintain organ perfusion and oxygenation.
• Coordinate with hospital staff on family approach and consent.
