Job summary

Vallen is seeking a Service Technician I focused on Life Safety Services to install, inspect, test and maintain ITM life safety systems for established customers on a scheduled basis. The role emphasizes hands-on field work in the Vallen Safety Services Group.

You will handle system installations, testing, regulatory knowledge (OSHA/NFPA), on-site troubleshooting, and prepare accurate reports and worksheets.

Qualifications

• High School or GED
• Minimum 1 Certification (manufacturing/state) in a fire protection related field
• Minimum 1-year related experience
• Mechanically inclined
• Experience in installation/maintenance, repair and service of life safety systems and equipment
• Current Motor Vehicle License with good driving record
• Commercial Driver's License if carrying hazardous materials
• Ability to read, write and comprehend English
• Must pass Drug & Alcohol screen, Physical exam and background check

Responsibilities

• Installing Life Safety Systems and performing service calls, testing and inspections to standards
• On-site emergency troubleshooting and maintenance of Life Safety Systems
• Preparing accurate Technician Worksheets (TWS) and reports
• Providing customer service for installation/ITM of Life Safety Systems (Fire Extinguishers, Fire Alarm, Gas Detection, etc.)
• Assist warehouse with order fulfillment if needed
• Maintain certifications and licenses current through ongoing training
