Job summary

Orange County Convention Center is seeking a Life Safety Electronic Systems Technician for a 3rd shift (10pm–7am, Sunday–Thursday) to maintain and troubleshoot fire alarm, sprinkler, and smoke control systems. You will oversee life safety operations, coordinate with contractors, and ensure compliance with NFPA and Florida codes within a massive facility.

The role requires an Associate’s degree with 3+ years of relevant experience or equivalent, and familiarity with Johnson

Qualifications

• Experience in programming, testing and inspecting electronic fire alarm systems.
• Working knowledge of test equipment including multi-meters, digital analyzers, battery analyzers, frequency meters and decibel meters.
• Three years of experience in the life safety/electronic systems field; Associate’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversees components of life safety systems and provides leadership to staff.
• Ensures compliance with NFPA codes and Florida Fire Prevention Code for life safety systems.
• Specifies equipment and coordinates repairs with contractors.
• Troubleshoots system defects and maintains client equipment interfaces at the Convention Center.
• Performs duties on a 3rd shift (10pm–7am) five days a week, with occasional weekend work.
