Life Safety Service Dispatcher/Scheduler

Join our Team as a Life Safety Service Dispatcher/Scheduler! UP TO $1,000 SIGN-ON BONUS!

ARK Systems is looking for a Life Safety Service Dispatcher/Scheduler to join our amazing team! This role is responsible for scheduling inspections for the Testing department at ARK Systems. This job operates in a professional climate-controlled office environment in Columbia, MD from 8:30am-5pm, Monday-Friday. This is an on-site role, only.

What you bring:
  • Must have knowledge of office administrative procedures and knowledge of use and operation of standard office equipment, at a level generally acquired through 3+ years related experience.
  • Some analytical ability is required in order to gather and summarize data, find solutions to various administrative problems and prioritize work.
  • Good oral/written communication skills are necessary. Must be able to work in a high volume/fast paced environment and handle multiple tasks. Should be comfortable answering a phone and making calls for potential entirety of shift.
  • Work requires continual attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities, and meeting deadlines.
  • Must have a positive and respectful attitude and maintain good working relationships with management staff and employees.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Effectively coordinate and schedule a team of inspection technicians.
  • View open ticket reports to aide in scheduling manpower for inspections and testing of low voltage systems.
  • Coordinate testing with sub-contractors as required.
  • Communicate effectively with the Sr. Contracts Coordinators and Lead Technicians to identify and resolve scheduling issues.
  • Answer customer calls and follow through on their requests.
  • Provide customer service and maintain positive relationships with Property Managers and Building Engineers.
  • Support the Sales Staff regarding scheduling needs for customers.
Education and Experience:
  • 1-2 years of scheduling/dispatching experience.
  • Able to thrive in a high volume/fast paced environment.
  • Detail oriented, flexible, organized, driven and multi-tasker.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.
  • Self-starter, critical thinker, team player and positive attitude.
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
