Job summary

UL Solutions seeks a hybrid role professional responsible for testing and certifying fire alarm, access control, and smoke detection systems to UL standards. You will work directly with clients, manage certification projects, coordinate testing activities, and provide technical guidance to ensure timely completion.

The role includes potential travel to client sites, strong emphasis on customer communication, and adherence to UL procedures.

Qualifications

• University degree in Electrical engineering is required.
• Experience with fire and smoke detection, access control, and fire alarm control panels is preferred.
• Customer-facing experience is required.
• Strong communication and project management skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Tests and certifies fire alarm, access control, and smoke detection systems to UL standards and specifications.
• Manages certification projects and coordinates testing activities.
• Provides technical guidance and ensures timely project completion.
• Coordinates communications with clients to discuss technical issues, costs, and sample requirements.
• Prepares data sheets, schedules, and reviews laboratory work; coordinates testing with technicians and engineers.
• Maintains familiarity with applicable standards, UL requirements, and company manuals.
• Supports development of UL requirements and test methods as needed.
• Represents UL at industry events and seminars.
