Job summary
SOCOTEC US in Coral Gables, FL, is seeking Associates to join the SLS division. You will work with Senior Fire Protection Engineers to design Life Safety and Fire Protection systems, focusing on egress design, code research, and performance-based design.
Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's in engineering or architecture, 0–3 years of experience, and strong communication and teamwork skills. This role offers mentorship, ongoing education, and a collaborative, inclusive culture.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in engineering or architecture required.
- 0 to 3 years of relevant experience in Fire Protection and Life Safety.
- Engineering in Training (EIT) Certification preferred.
- Experience with Bluebeam, AutoCAD, REVIT, Microsoft Suite encouraged.
Responsibilities
- Assist in egress design and code research for life safety projects.
- Support smoke control system design and fire-resistant construction analysis.
- Contribute to performance-based design and fire sprinkler design tasks.
- Conduct hazardous material analysis as needed.
- Prepare technical reports and plan reviews.
- Collaborate with engineers and designers across disciplines.
- Support project teams to maintain quality standards and timeliness.
