Job summary

AmeriLife is seeking an Underwriting Assistant to support medical and loan underwriting teams for life insurance policies. You will gather key underwriting information, track exams and APS requests, and coordinate with carriers and lenders to secure offers.

The role requires at least three years of life insurance underwriting support experience, strong data entry skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of life insurance underwriting support experience in an agency or carrier environment.
• Strong data entry and policy administration proficiency.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to maintain organized underwriting files and meet productivity standards.

Responsibilities

• Support the case manager in completing carrier applications and follow up efforts.
• Monitor each case throughout underwriting and escalate issues to the Case Manager when needed.
• Work with carriers to issue policies and draft cover letters for review.
• Download application kits and populate information for Case Manager review.
• Assist clients with routine policy service requests and annual reviews.
