New York Life - Kansas City is seeking a full-time life insurance agent to join our growing team in the Kansas City area. You will build a list of prospective clients, market our products, present offerings to new customers, and guide policyholders through claims and billing questions.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Experience in customer service or sales is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in health or life insurance is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Provide warm, professional service onboarding new clients and maintaining existing clients.
• Process policyholders' insurance claims and monitor claim status.
• Manage electronic and paper records and keep contracting paperwork current.
• Assess clients' insurance needs and goals through consultations to tailor coverage.
• Expand the client base through networking, referrals, cold calls, and marketing strategies.
